There is a growing trend to analyze structures in three dimensions requiring scientists to contend with volumes rather than sections.
However because of the obscuring effects of light scatter, imaging deep into a tissue volume is problematic.
The LMF-staff presents its experience with different protocols for whole organ clearing and how to acquire and process the images.
Ruth Hans (LMF BIOTEC/CRTD) will provide an introduction into the topic of tissue clearing and Luis Rodriguez (LMF BIOTEC/CRTD) will present practical experience with several clearing protocols, samples and antibody stainings.
